A clear lack of imagination. I would have liked to see the Unmentionables tackle the Unspeakables, or the Ineffables versus the Immortals; or even the Inaccesibles vs the Untouchables?
I concur with that review, and would like to add that it’s especially unpleasant when the bee stings you on top of the head (where the hair used to be).
Definitely not to be encouraged.
Thank you for your review. I will add that I also don’t recommend having yourself get attacked by wasps while accidentally threatening to destroy their nest, or having yourself get bitten by a fire ant behind the ear where there’s nothing but skin and bones. The latter was one of the most painful experiences I remember.
Earlier this summer I hit a hornet for four with a wooden spatula. It bounced off the kitchen floor and sailed over the stairs outside into the flower bed behind them where it took an hour or so to recover. Poor thing.
In silver linings time, Dorries and Patel have quit.
Here’s praying they don’t get ermine linings next, although by rights anyone ennobled by Johnson should simply be shot to save the unnecessary expense of a trial.
Also, this image, from Mercer’s wife after his sacking by Truss:
He asked her ‘why would you do this, who is going to be better at this role than me, which of your mates gets the job, you promised a meritocracy?’ PM – I can’t answer that Johnny

What’s the point of having a tournament if one of the teams is invincible?

I just got stung by a wasp if that’s any help.
Open cans and bowls of cat food attract wasps, especially in warmer climates.
I’d already swatted the bastard, so fair play.

I very sort-of regret to say I’ve swatted (very firmly) quite a lot of wasps and some hornets too this summer.
Sunset-time is always greeted warmly here just now because they all bugger off, to come back tomorrow.

This is a delight.
What’s that saying, “you can fool some of the people all of the time…”
